Obituary Eugene R. McInnis age 80, died January 9, 2007. Born August 6, 1926 in Great Falls, MT. Raised on a ranch in Stanford, MT, he enlisted in the Navy at age 17 and served in the Pacific in WWII. Gene married Georgia Reilly of Stanford on January 25, 1947. They moved to Seattle in 1956 where he was employed by Boeing for 30 years. While at Boeing, he worked on the first 747 and the Minuteman missile. He was on the team that erected the Minuteman missile on display in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. Gene is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. A talented singer and guitar player, he always brought a smile to those who heard him sing, give a toast, or tell a joke. He was always ready to lend a hand to someone in need. He loved golf, history, politics, bridge, and was a voracious reader. An inspiration to all, he courageously battled four different bouts with cancer over the last 13 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Georgia; his sister, Marsha Stevens of Grants Pass, OR; his children, Patricia Villa (husband, Ronald) of Tacoma, Linda Fulwiler of Seattle, and Terrence McInnis (wife, Patricia) of San Clemente, CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on January 16 at St. Martin of Tours, 2303 54th Ave. E., Fife. The rosary will be recited prior to mass at 10:30 am. Inurnment at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Martin's.
