Obituary Eugene O. Hallan, 85, a longtime resident of Tacoma, WA died on September 11, 2006 at Tacoma Lutheran Home. Born August 21, 1921, he graduated from Stadium High School in 1940 and served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 - 1946. On October 5, 1946, he married his wife Margaret in Tacoma. Together they had four daughters. The family moved to San Diego in 1951 where Eugene worked in traffic management for Convair and Ryan Aeronautical. In 1974 they returned to Tacoma where Eugene worked for Boeing until his retirement in 1984. Eugene enjoyed woodworking, reading and sang in the Normana Chorus. He is survived by his wife Margaret; daughters, Virginia (Mark) Fisher, Newport, OR, Patricia (Bob) Key, Corona, CA, Diane (John) Vance, Keokuk, IA, Pamela (Steve) Wingate, Eagle Point, OR and five grandchildren. Eugene is also survived by his sister Roberta MacDougal and her two children. He was preceded in death by his grandson, John Ross Fisher. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 15, 2006, 11:00 am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 North 44th. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 13, 2006 7:00 pm at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
