Obituary Eugene A. Fitzmaurice Eugene A. Fitzmaurice, 86, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Born in Everett, WA on October 27, 1928, Gene moved to Seattle as a youth. He enjoyed his participation as a Boy Scout, sharing this with his two grandsons who went on to become Eagle Scouts. Gene began his 44 year career with United Parcel Service while attending O'Dea High School and later worked throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area after graduation. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and returned to UPS at its conclusion. Throughout his UPS career, he worked in every aspect of the company, including travelling throughout the United States training employees as new cities and states joined the UPS family. Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Marian J. Fitzmaurice. He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Tebow; brother, Gerard Fitzmaurice; grandsons, Matthew and Daniel Tebow; great-grandsons, Cuinn and Kevan; brothers-in-law, Ed and Jim Echtle; sisters-in-law, Norma Fitzmaurice, and Louise Echtle; four nieces; four nephews; six great nieces; and 6 great nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, 1310 Madison Ave W., Bainbridge Island, WA 98110, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. A Rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 10:30am also at church. Interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tacoma, WA at 3:30pm. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
