Obituary ESTHER WHITELEY Esther Whiteley was born in Tacoma on August 4, 1925 to Salmonia and Pasquale Pellegrini. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2010. Esther lived in Tacoma all of her life. She worked for many years in the auto freight industry and retired from the Brown & Haley Candy Company. Esther was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish. Esther lived life to the fullest until the very end. She spent a lifetime enjoying family and friends, traveling to Maui, shopping, living with Harry and being raised on East 26th Street. Esther is survived by her children Susan Medeiros and Joe (Traci) Whiteley, and grandchildren Alex, Michelle, Jordan, Julian and Hannah. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Whiteley, parents, brothers - Jimmy, Julio and Ado, sisters ?" Ada, Maggie and Ida. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 1, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Sunday, January 31, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel 1002 South Yakima Ave. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
