Obituary Ernest "Jack" Enright Ernest "Jack" Enright passed away quietly on October 12, 2015 at the age of 99 in his home in the presence of his family after having lived a life of service and faith. After graduating from Bellaramine High School as salutatorian at the age 16, he received his bachelor's degree at the College of Puget Sound and an MBA from Northwestern University. Jack joined the U.S. Army in 1942 as a First Lieutenant assigned to an anti-aircraft battalion and received a Bronze Star in heavy enemy action in the Pacific. Post war, he earned an MBA and a DBA from Harvard Business School. In 1952 he taught at Tufts University and the Harvard Business School in 1954. In 1959, Jack was sent to Turkey to establish a school of business. Subsequently, Jack joined the International Marketing Institute, Cambridge, MA, and for 25 years taught in 23 countries on six continents to over 3,000 executives. Jack was invited to teach at universities including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Tufts, Wharton and Oxford completing his career at 80 teaching business at UPS. Jack believed that teaching was a form of giving and took satisfaction in changing the lives of his students. Jack attended St. Patrick's Church in Tacoma into his 99th year and rarely missed a Sunday expressing thanks for all that he had received. Jack Enright is survived by his wife of 73 years Genieve; his daughters, Katherine, and Christine (Bill); son, Kerry (Sue); sister, Edna Lou Goodman (Burton); two grandsons, Eric (Elizabeth), and Kevin (Angelica); five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday October 23, 2015 at St. Patrick's Church, 12th and J St. Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the church.
