Elzbieta Ziniewicz

October 8, 1955 — March 12, 2019

Obituary On March 12, 2019, our community lost a kind, loving and caring angel whom we called Ela. Elzbieta Ziniewicz had been fighting cancer for the last two years. During that time, she remained optimistic and held on to her faith and continued to bring her family together. Her kind words and wisdom inspired those around her to always believe in miracles. Elzbieta's miracle came in the form of reuniting with her own parents in heaven. Elzbieta leaves behind her loving husband of almost 40 years, Maciej Ziniewicz and her two sons who adored her: Przemyslaw and Jakub. Elzbieta was born in Karwowo, Poland. She was the daughter of Miechieslaw and Zofia. Elzbieta moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1996 with her family and settled in Auburn. She was a devout Roman Catholic who was part of the congregation of St. Peter and Paul parish in Tacoma. She was known in the Polish community for her grace, wisdom and ability to be a friend to all. Elzbieta's love for nature flourished around her house that was always decorated with flowers that she grew and she shared vegetables she grew with everyone she knew. One of her favorite ways to show that she appreciated people around her was by sharing homemade treats from her kitchen. Whether it was an entire meal or a cake, you were always fed when visiting her home. Faith and family were the most important things in her life. She will be greatly missed, but we know that she will always look down upon us from heaven to guide and provide an example of what it means to be a good person. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home
