Obituary Elizabeth Genevieve Sylvia Elizabeth was born on February, 11, 1919 in Belfield, North Dakota, and passed away two days after her 89th birthday, on February 13, 2008, at her home in Fife, Washington. She is survived by six children: Ernest Sylvia, Jr., Paulette Christel, Michaela Horton, Darrel Sylvia, Robert Sylvia, and Benet Jordan. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. She lived in Fife, Washington for over 35 years, and she also worked at the local Wendy's as a hostess for about 15 years, before retiring a few years ago. She continued to live with her youngest daughter, Benet, and her family for the past 3 years of her life. Elizabeth's family were immigrants from Russia, who previously immigrated from Germany. She is a full German, but she forgot the language after the age of five. She had to leave school after the 8th grade to assist her family on the farm in North Dakota. She has since lived in Rochester, MN, Yakima, WA, and Fife, WA. She will be missed by many in these areas. Elizabeth, or Betty, as she was called, was a sweet, adoring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved kids more than anyone, including her newest great-grandchild Kallen. She was a devout Catholic, attending Saint Martin of Tours. She had several sisters and brothers, many of whom have since passed. During the past two months of her life she was cared for by her daughter Benet and her granddaughter Kristine, who worked diligently to assure that Elizabeth was comfortable and ready to meet with God when she wanted. The funeral will be held at Saint Martin of Tours in Fife on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at 11 AM. A viewing will be held before, as well as a reception at the church afterwards. Elizabeth will be missed tremendously, and we only hope to see her once again in Heaven.
