Obituary Elizabeth passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2011 surrounded by family. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1943 and attended the University of Washington in Seattle where she met her loving husband while earning a degree in nursing. She forewent nursing to raise a family and help start her husband's law office. She was an early pioneer of tailgating at the University of Washington football games. She was a devout Catholic and one of the founders of St. Charles Borromeo Church and School in Tacoma. She was an avid golfer at Fircrest Golf Club and a Grand Master Bridge player. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and traveling and was a member of the Catholic Women Club and Lions Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; Michael J. Sterbick, grandson; Michael J. Sterbick III, father; Joe B. Lee, mother; Mary Elizabeth Lee, brother; Jay Lee, sister; Carol Kisor. She is survived by her 8 children; Michael (Dotti), LouAnne (Dennis), Raymond, John (Mickie), Edward (Sandee), Elizabeth, James (Machell), David (Debbie); 8 grandchildren, Lucianna, Julian, Breanne, Evan, Makayla, Elizabeth, Cheyenne, Christopher, and her sister Virginia (Tom). A Rosary will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home on Sunday, February 6, at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Tacoma on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 9am. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Advanced Health Care, especially Darlene and Mary for their love and kindness and Multicare/hospice.
