Elizabeth Mclaughlin Maslow

Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Maslow, born February 15, 1946, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 15, 2023. She graduated from J.W. Hallahan Catholic Girl’s HS (PA), St. Joseph’s University (PA), Hospital Chaplaincy at Western State Hospital (WA), and pursued her M. Div. degree at Duke University (Durham, NC). She was a lover of people, particularly those marginalized and disadvantaged. She made even the simplest act special. She was the rare soul filled with kindness, joy, and generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Art Maslow, daughters Liza Gildark, Emilie Maslow, son Robert Foster, granddaughters Genevieve and Emilie Gildark, brother Edward McLaughlin and sister Joan McLaughlin. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward B. McLaughlin, June 22, 1994, mother, Florence McLaughlin (Boyce) June 15, 2012, and Brother, Patrick McLaughlin, September 3, 2009. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at noon on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tacoma. A private burial will take place in Philadelphia, PA.
