Obituary Eileen Luebe Weller March 2, 1924-Dec. 25 2010 Eileen Weller passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Christmas at the age of 86. Born in Chehalis, Washington, in 1924 Eileen was a loving wife, talented and dedicated professional, church member and avid Washington State University Alumni. Eileen was married to the late Dr. Robert R. Weller of Lakewood for over 17 years. She served at Weyerhaeuser Company for 25 years in Marketing Services. She was also a dedicated and enthusiastic attendee of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and School and actively volunteered as a mentor to the school children and editor for the weekly Church publication. Eileen lived a strong life of professionalism and caring for others. During Her 25 years at Weyerhaeuser, beginning in 1961, Eileen proved to be an active voice in women's management and capabilities. She was an executive when there were no women executives. Colleagues there described her as strong, smart, super capable with a great personality. Her dedication to the company was always foremost in her mind and the pride she had for her job served as an example to so many. For her church and school St. Frances Cabrini, Eileen served on the Endowment Board and the Parish Council. She proudly mentored many of the students with their school work and extra duties. Her students were so important to her and she always related their latest stories to her family. Eileen would fill in on Grandparent Day for children who didn't have grandparents in the area. She trained the student lectors for the monthly masses and would help at every school reunion without fail. Her dedication to the church included its weekly bulletin content and editing. Always a perfectionist when it came to print and the word, Eileen honed in on making sure of accuracy in both content and grammar. She always felt it important to set a high bar with her example. In 1997 she was the recipient of the PACE Principals Leadership Award for outstanding support of Catholic education in Pierce County.
