Edward Earl Vanantwerp

Obituary Edward Earl Van Antwerp passed away Saturday September 23, 2006 at the age of 95. Ed was born April 6, 1911 in Seattle, Washington. Ed worked in many different professions including a Watkins salesman, a dairy farmer, an excavation contractor, and an entrepreneur. In retirement, he built Crestview Mobile Home Park. Ed was an avid horseman during his life and a member of the mounted National Guard. Ed was a farm boy at heart and received much joy in his garden. Ed loved to travel and logged many miles towing his travel trailer around the country. Ed was a giver always and what mattered to him most was his family. Ed spent 95 years creating many friendships wherever he went. In 1936, Ed married his first love Beulah Emily Bullis of Tacoma. They lived a wonderful life together until her death on May 22, 1982. They lived in Tacoma where they raised their only son, Richard Edward Van Antwerp. Ed was blessed to fall in love again when he married Inez Weir in 1983. They lived happily together in Tacoma overlooking Puget Sound. They later moved to their current home in Puyallup where they lived with Inez's daughter Julie. Ed passed away peacefully in his sleep September 23rd with his family at his side. He is survived by his second wife Inez and her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, his sister- June Baker, brother- Jim Allen, son- Richard E. Van Antwerp, grandchildren- Mark Van Antwerp, Alan Van Antwerp, Janine Van Antwerp (Reesor), and John Marshall, and great-grandchildren- Kristen, Meagan, Sarah, Eddie (Ed's namesake), Andy, and Mariana. He also leaves behind a large extended family and numerous friends. Ed loved his friends, adored his family and was the most devoted grandfather!!! There are no words to describe how much he was loved and how much we will miss him. Services will be held Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John of the Woods Church. He will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery. He will never be forgotten!!
