Obituary Dorothy was born December 5, 1924 in Onalaska, WA. She passed away March 31, 2007 at home with her family present. She was the daughter of Henry and Etta Fink. Her family moved to Tacoma, WA when Dorothy was a small child. She resided in the same house until her passing. Dorothy was an amazing woman. After her husband died; she decided at the age of 62 it was time for her to learn to drive. It was her strong determination that carried her through so many trials and tribulations. Dorothy loved her dog "Tags" loving referred to as "Baby" and she loved to order through mail order catalogs! Most of her family members and extended family members were recipients of gifts from her much loved magazines. Dorothy fought a very strong and determined fight against cancer for many years. In her fight she endured with strength and dignity. She amazed family and doctors alike with her will to bounce back from the darkest times in her health. One of her greatest sayings to others was "Complaining won't change the circumstances. You have to do the best you can and make the most out of what you are given to deal with." We will always remember our mother as a strong woman. We want to thank her for the determination and for the strength she lived until the very end. Preceding her in death were her parents Henry C. Fink and Etta Eninger, and her late husband Eugene T. Ryan. She is survived by her three daughters: Dorothy (Terry) King, Orting, WA; Maureen (Steve) VanderLinda, Graham, WA; Joyce Ginnis, Graham, WA; and only son Eugene Ryan, Jr., Tacoma, WA. Dorothy has one surviving brother Henry C. Fink, Jr., Port Angeles, WA. Dorothy also had 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 4520 McKinley Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98404. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
