Dorothy Elizabeth Van De Mark

November 19, 1921 — February 28, 2012

Obituary Dorothy passed away at Living Life Care Home on Tuesday at the age of 90. She was born in Tacoma and was a life-long resident. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1940 and was a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, having bowled with the same women over 30 years and was a fledgling golfer thru the years and loved the exercise. She was a volunteer for 12 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and was an avid reader; never without a book nearby. She loved the ocean, Hawaii, Mt. Rainier, clouds, beautiful sunsets and pie. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, John as well as her brother Elmer Last. Dorothy is survived by daughters Linda Streeter (Bill) and Julie Geissler. She was the proud grandmother of Bill Streeter, Paul Streeter (Vanessa), Shelley Petrylka (Paul), Megan Geissler, Jonathan Geissler (Katie), Andrew Geissler (Vanessa) and great-grandchildren Stephan and Daniel Petrylka and Carter and Rachel Streeter, sister-in-law Dorothy A. Van De Mark and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at Gaffney Funeral Home (1002 S. Yakima Ave.) on Friday March 9th, 2012 at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home.
