Obituary Dorothy Rose (Carroll) LaBrecque Dorothy passed away peacefully at home September 19, 2010 after a long illness. She was born July 20, 1923 in Somerville MA. She married Norman A. LaBrecque on November 15, 1943; both were members of "the greatest generation". During World War II, Dorothy worked as a fingerprint classifier for J. Edgar Hoover at the FBI. Dorothy and her two sons followed her husband Norman all over the world while he was in the US Army, settling in Tacoma after his retirement in 1975. She worked as a Dental Office Manager in Tacoma for many years, enjoying needlepoint, travel and reading. She was active in her parish and worked as a hospice volunteer. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Standring, and Kay Murphy as well as her daughter-in-law Maxine LaBrecque. She is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, her sons Norman W. of Hampton GA and Gerard as well as his wife Lori of Burns OR and her grandson and his wife Norman S. and Laine LaBrecque of Denton TX. Visitation and Rosary, Wednesday 22 Sep 2010 6-8pm at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 23 Sep 2010 at 11am at St. Charles Borromeo. Reception follows.
