Dorothy Jeanne Hinrichs

Obituary DDorothy (Penny) Hinrichs was born on April 4th, 1924, in St. Paul, MN. Our beloved Mother was carried home by the angels on September 20, 2018. Penny was an accomplished pianist and poet. She loved card and word games, cooking, entertaining, and traveling. Most of all, she loved spending quality time with her children. She married the love of her life, William Hinrichs, in 1950, and enjoyed 55 years of a wonderful marriage. Penny will be greatly missed by her children, Patricia Lippold, of Frisco, TX, Gail (Alan) Ryan of Fircrest, WA, Robert Hinrichs of Gig Harbor, WA, and Joanie (Ron) Strandin of Camano Island, WA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Joanne, Tiffany, Kathryn, Emily, Sandz Hinrichs, Daielle Brown Christopher, and Ryan as well as 7 great grandchildren. Penny was a devout Catholic. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 28, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7112 South 12TH, Tacoma. The Rosary will be Thursday, September, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel, 1002 S. Yakima Avenue, Tacoma, WA.
