Obituary Dorothy Elaine (Gill) Bell Dorothy was born April 14, 1923 in Meriden, Iowa. Mom passed away peacefully with her 5 children by her side on April 1, 2014, two weeks shy of her 91st birthday. She moved to Steilacoom, Washington following high school graduation and attained her Psychiatric Attendant LPN license from the University of Washington. She worked at Western State Hospital for 7 years. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Samuel P. Bell; the two were married on June 16, 1951.
