Obituary DONALD R. WOMBACHER Donald R. Wombacher died peacefully at Allenmore Hospital, Oct. 30th 2009 in Tacoma Washington. Don was born in Lawrence NE and raised in Shelby NE where he graduated ninth in his class from Shelby High School. Don joined the Navy to see the world, however, the Navy also brought him out to the Pacific Northwest where he stayed and started his career and family. Don worked 30yrs.as a Letter-Pressman, for Print Northwest until his retirement. Don spent many years coaching little league baseball. He belonged to Bellarmine Boosters The Eagles, and the Knights of Columbus. Don loved, Mariner's baseball, the Ellensburg Rodeo, and love to camp and fish. He believed there were only two kinds of music Country and Western. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the VFW but his priority was always his family. He is survived by 11 siblings, 5 children, 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at Gaffney's Funeral Home located at 1002 So. Yakima at 4:00 p.m. Friday Nov. 6th. Reception following the service at the VFW Narrows Bridge Post Hall 4741 N Baltimore St Tacoma, WA 98407. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home.
