Donald Francis Cummings, Jr.

Donald Francis Cummings Jr, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away after a prolonged hospital stay in Lakewood, WA on November 28th, 2022. Born August 17th, 1952 in Tacoma, WA, Don was 70 years old at the time of his death. He is remembered as an adventurer. From diving to the depths of Puget Sound to climbing the icy peaks of Mt. Rainier, Don loved to explore everything the PNW had to offer. He had a special way with animals, even nervous pets calmed quickly with him. He valued the time he spent in the US Army before becoming a truck driver later in life. In his down time, he enjoyed music, old movies, reading, fishing, chess, and golf. Don never stopped learning and was always happy to offer advice or encouragement to his young neighbors. To his nieces, he is remembered as the fun uncle who always made time for them.

Don is preceded in death by his older sister, MaryAnn (Cummings) Rody (aka Michael Firewalker). He is survived by his younger brother, Daniel Cummings (Meredith Cummings), his brother-in-law, Ralph Rody (Vivian Rody), his niece Sarah (Cummings) White (Micah White), and three great nieces.
