Obituary Domenica Therese Plemons Domenica Therese Plemons passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia two weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday. She began her life in the Italian community in Tacoma on December 15, 1915. She graduated from St. Leo' High School, and worked as a secretary in various places. She retired from the Iron Workers Union. She met Sam Plemons through her girlfriend Vi Sonn and married him in 1940. They had a daughter but he was killed in a car accident a few years later. She married Bill Plemons February 15, 1945 and they made their home in Tacoma and Puyallup. She kept busy by belonging to the altar society, making her spaghetti and meatballs and pies and raising her zinnias and tending her gardens. She and Bill traveled in their RV around the United States and Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bill; their daughter, Marianne Polzin; grandchildren, Nicole Payne of Puyallup and John Hall of Las Vegas; and great-grandchildren Christopher Huether and Matthew Payne. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 12:00pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Olympia. Entombment at Calvary Cloisters.
