Obituary Dolores was born October 26, 1933 in Aberdeen, Washington to Ben and Mildred (Olsen) Drawsky. She passed away on January 26, 2017. Dolores grew up in Aberdeen, Washington graduating from Weatherwax High School. She attended Business College for one year before beginning work as a supply clerk for Bailey's Service Parts. She met her future husband, Lawrence "Larry", in Aberdeen during this time. Larry was a radio announcer for KXRO radio station. Dolores and Larry were married at Saint Mary's Catholic Church on August 30, 1952. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother. Dolores and Larry were married for 44 years before Larry passed away in 1997. Dolores began working at Tacoma General Hospital as a Central Supply Technician in 1968. She retired from Tacoma General after thirty years of service. Dolores enjoyed working at the hospital and made many, many friends during her time there. An avid gardener, Dolores loved flowers and enjoyed being outdoors. She took pride in her beautiful gardens and spent many pleasurable hours cultivating her beloved flowers. Roses were a special interest to Dolores. Her walking the neighborhood in search of seasonal bouquets was legendary. No holly tree, forsythia bush, or pussy willow was safe from her clippers. Dolores was a loving mother and grandmother. She possessed a vivacious wit and a mischievous sense of humor. She often teased her children and grandchildren and was adept at playing clever pranks. Dolores loved to laugh. Her inviting laugh was infectious; if you heard her laughing, you joined in. Dolores had the ability to find humor in most situations and could easily laugh at herself. Her children and grandchildren frequently teased her. She was always ready for lively, affectionate, and silly conversations with them. Dolores lived a rich and full life. She had strong faith. She lived her life in accordance with her faith values. Dolores practiced random acts of kindness. These numerous acts of kindness made a big difference in many lives. Dolores took delight in her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed their abundant accomplishments; whether it was musical, theatrical, artistic, academic, or athletic. She loved the impromptu dance performances, skits, pantomimes, and singing that they would perform for her. Dolores engaged life with a sense of humor, grace, and devotion to her large family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Roberts and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Lewis. She is survived by her five children, Kathy, Terrie, Lynn, Larry, and Tracy; her sixteen grandchildren, and her eighteen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery.
