Doleen Elizabeth Bergstrom

Obituary Doleen Geary Gardner Bergstrom Born November 15, 1914 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Doleen Bergstrom passed peacefully on April 23, 2010. She is survived by her husband John of Klamath Falls, Oregon, 8 children, 5 stepchildren, and their families including 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Fred Gardner, and her grandson Keith Bergstrom preceded her in death. Doleen was a strong and gracious woman, a loving wife and an especially devoted mother who made everyone feel welcome. She spent her childhood at the Irene Byron Tuberculosis Sanitorium, was self-educated, became a critical member of the GE production team during WWII, a newspaper columnist, an accomplished businesswoman and a social worker who changed lives. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives were touched by her kind and generous spirit. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Friday, April 30, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Thursday, April 29, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
