Obituary Dennis Franecki Dennis was born November 1, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and died December 29, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Joseph; and sister, Stephanie. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara (Hanson); sons, Joseph and David; daughters-in-law, Yukari Ueno and Amanda Seligman; and granddaughters, Sophonisba and Irene. Dennis completed a forty year career in human resources management in the private sector at a number of firms. Most recently he lectured at Central Washington University in the Information Technology and Administrative Management department. Earlier he was adjunct faculty at Northern Illinois University, Rock Valley Community College, DeVry University, University of Phoenix, and Shoreline Community College. Dennis was a proud member of St. Leo Parish in Tacoma. Dennis served in the U.S. Army as a Captain with the 7th Infantry. By age and experience, he was one of the youngest officers detailed General Staff with Troops (Assistant G-1) and one of the earliest recipients of the Meritorious Service Medal. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 12:10pm at St. Leo Catholic Church, Tacoma. Inurnment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Federal Way.
