Obituary Delores Margaret Fitzgerald  Delores Margaret Fitzgerald, beloved wife, mother, and friend, died at Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community on February 17, 2016 from complications of pneumonia. Delores (Dee) Munn was born on January 30, 1925 in Hibbing, Minnesota. She was the third of six children born to Joseph and Alice (Jolicouer) Munn, both deceased. After graduation from St. Joseph Academy in Crookston, she attended the Vogue School of Art in Chicago, Illinois. Dee returned to Crookston and worked in the family Jewelry and Music store. It was there she met Edward Fitzgerald, a salesman who was working for Dunn & Bradstreet at the time. They were wed on July 30, 1949 and were married for over 60 years. Ed worked in construction and sales and early married life revolved around traveling the Midwest and having the first of nine children - six boys and three girls - in June 1950. In 1955, Ed was hired by Rilco Laminated Products, which became part of the Weyerhaeuser Company. For the next 33 years, Ed sold laminated wood products throughout much of the country while Dee was busy bringing up the kids. In 1964, they moved the family from Minnesota west to Portland, Oregon. Dee always said, that she "felt like she was coming home". Portland was home for 10 years which up until that time was the longest they had ever been in one location. One final move was in the future for Dee and the family, when they moved to Tacoma, Washington in July 1974. She is survived by two sisters, eight of her nine children, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.  A memorial service will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S.
