Obituary David Castro Sr. April 10, 1933 - January 27, 2006 David Castro Sr., dearly loved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away January 27, 2006. Preceded in death by daughter Guadelupe "Lupita". Survived by wife Soledad "Chole", daughters: Lilia Alicia "Lily" Castro, Angela Kors (Jason); sons David Jr. and Francisco "Frank" Castro (Caroline), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and loving extended family. Born in Otay, California, he moved his family to Tacoma in 1961, where they lived in the same house for the last 45 years. All who passed through the doors of his home knew they were always welcome in this special place. Dave enjoyed sharing Mexican food, hoisting a shot glass of tequila, and listening to traditional Mexican music, whether you liked it or not. Other favorite pastimes included old western movies and nightly novelas, but most important was the time spent enjoying his friends and family, and particularly his cherished great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 2, 2006, 10:00 am St. Ann's Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday, February 1, 2006, 7:00 pm at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
