Obituary Darlene M Howe passed away peacefully on June 29th, with her husband Bill of 60 years by her side. She and Bill enjoyed and were blessed by the many family and friends that visited during her illness. Darlene was born in Great Falls, Montana on February 15, 1934 and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Seattle Washington. Darlene loved sewing, knitting and baking for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Darlene also loved baking and working in the garden with her many flowers. She was well known for creating beautiful children's sweaters, fun toddler balls and adorable Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls. Her favorite place to spend peaceful time was up at their cabin on Sinclair Island in the San Juan's. Darlene is survived by her husband Bill Howe, her sons Gregg (wife Adrienne) and Brian (wife Edith); 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Chris, Riley, Jessica, Brody; great grandson Toby; her brothers and sisters: Wayne, Dennis, Elaine, Jeanine, Connie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Billy. Services will take place on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Tacoma, Washington. As a special tribute to Darlene, the family asks that guests, who still have an item she made and gifted them over the years, might bring it to share and show at the reception after.
