Obituary Cynthia Lee Diel-Nichols, born June 6, 1951 in Tacoma, died October 23, 2009. Cindy graduated Stadium High School, and received an Associate of Arts degree from Tacoma Community College in Business Administration, Sociology and Real Estate. She was a Community Outreach Volunteer, volunteered at the Seattle Crisis Clinic, was a disc jockey and karaoke singer, skydiver, and enjoyed many other sports. Cindy's greatest love had been to care for her many cats along with a special friend, Dannie who has shared her life until the end. Cindy is survived by son Mitchell Nichols, brother's Kevin Diel, and Douglas Diel with wife Sharon and nieces Tina Thomson, husband David, Trisha Olsen, husband Jerrimi, along with great nieces Veronica Griggs, Adriana and Chelsea Thomson, and great nephews Tyler and Joshua Olsen, and ex-husband Lyle Nichols. Her mother, Bonnie Lee Walker Diel Stickney, and father Richard Roland Diel have passed. Memorial service will be held at Tacoma First United Methodist Church, 621 Tacoma Avenue South on Friday, November 20th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to The American Lung Association.
