Obituary Corrine Kohlenhoefer Born March 20, 1914, in Iowa, to Olavis and Bessie Gulsvig 91 years ago, Corrine passed away peacefully from natural causes December 1, 2005. She was raised in Minnesota and moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 1938. Corrine owned several businesses and was a successful entrepreneur. In the mid-1950's she relocated to Spokane to operate a gift shop at the Ridpath Hotel. During that time, Corrine also opened Corrine's of Emerys dress shop. In 1979 she returned to Lakevilla in Coeur d'Alene. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters, Ladies Eagles and Elks. After the loss of her husband, Kohlie, in 1996, she joined her daughter and family in University Place, Washington. Corrine was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Lyle Anderson, James Gorman and Irwin Kohlenhoefer. She is survived by her daughter Beverly McConaghy, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Hearthside Manor for their tender love and care with special thanks to Jean Griffin and Diane Olsen for their enduring compassion and companionship. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005 at Gaffney Funeral Home in Tacoma. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. December 6th at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma. Memorials in Corrine's name may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Tacoma or St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene.
