Clarice Heinrick

January 1, 1970 — May 23, 2005

Obituary Clarice Hull Heinrick March 23, 1928 - May 23, 2005 Mom was born in Colfax, WA, and while she lived in Tacoma for over 50 years, it was the Polouse she called home. She loved life, friends, crosswords, a good book and her family. She was a homemaker, letter writer, and maker of thousands of sack lunches. Mom spent the last years of her life volunteering at St. Leo's church and endeared herself to all people in all circumstances. Clarice is preceded in death by her mother Florence Frazier, her father W.R. Hull, her two brothers Charles and Thurston (who died in WWII), John R. Heinrick her husband of 50 years passed away six years ago. She married John in 1949. They had four childrden: John R. Heinrick Jr. (Helen), Shannon Heinrick, Mary Barnes (Bob), and Martha Konicek (Steven). She has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many close relationships from her early childhood as well as many new ones in her Threadbare Needle Group and in her community at Regency Park. Mom was a remarkable woman. Many describe mom as a positive person with a keen sense of humor. She never wavered in her belief that it's not what you have or what you have achieved that defines a meaningful life, but rather by those who love you and those you love. Vigil will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima on Thursday May 26, at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 27, at 12:10PM at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 710 So. 13th Street, Tacoma, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Leo's Social Ministry. The family wishes to thank the wonderful neighbors at Regency Park, the staff of St. Leo's and the many friends who enriched Mom's life. You were all a great gift to her.
