Christine Yvonne Landers

Obituary Christine Y. Landers Died Feb. 20, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born Apr. 11, 1922 in Hungtingdon, England. During WWII, she served in the British Army as a member of the ATS. She married David Landers in 1950 and moved to Tacoma in 1953. Christine worked for many years at the Franke Tobey Jones Home. She is survived by her children, Paula (Dan) Albertson, Mark (Karen) Landers, Stephen (Catherine) Landers, and Lynne Sprague (Guy Zillyette), her grandchildren Christie (David) Sims, David and Peter Albertson, Michael, Corey, and Janelle Landers, and great-grandchildren Kayla, Lindsey, and Jordyn Sims. She is also survived by her siblings in England: June, Dawn, Bill, and Terry Peacock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N. 44th St., Tacoma, WA. Memorials to Catholic Community Services or the Alzheimer's Association.
