Charlotte Marie Dylina (nee Christian) passed peacefully on17 December at the Tacoma Lutheran Home. Born on December 24th, 1927 in Tacoma, she was the daughter of Theodore Christian and Cleo Frago Christian; and sister to Bernard Christian, Alvey Christian, Joy Nolan, and June Wood - all of whom predeceased her.
Mom loved the Pacific Northwest and travelled frequently to visit family and friends. She was always accompanied by the family dog - all of which adored her. Gardening was her passion, and her home was surrounded and filled with beautiful plants and flowers. Smart, funny, and possessing a heart of gold - she volunteered thousands of hours at the USO, Veteran's hospitals, and numerous clubs and charities.
Mom's family, all of whom she loved dearly, was the most important constant in her life. She is survived by her five children - David Carrington (Christie-Ann), Deborah Tipton, Catherine Neir (Jim), Leo Dylina Jr. (Dolly), and Christian Dylina (DeAnna). She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren - and she knew all their birthdays by heart. Her beloved husband of 58 years, Leo Dylina, predeceased her in February of 2018.
A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Patrick's Church, on 29 December at 11:00 Visiting hours are at Gaffney Funeral Home on Dec. 28th from 2-6 P.M. Burial will be private.
