Cecilia Dolores Hansen

Obituary Cecilia Dolores Hansen "Celia" was born January 7th, 1927 in Crosby, Texas. She slipped her earthly bonds early All Saints Day, November 1st, 2008 in Tacoma, Washington. She is reuniting with parents Joseph and Helen Kubin, husband Edward and son James. She leaves behind sisters Mary Traub and Helen (Lee) Linson, brothers Edwin (Nora), George (Mary Jo) and Joseph (Evelyn) Kubin; Daughter Betty Hansen, Daughter-In-Law Caryn (Ken) Georgen, sons Michael (Jan) and Charles (Susie) Hansen, Grandchildren Edward (Kelly), Amanda, Mathew (Heather), Alex (Kelsey), Joseph and Andrew Hansen, Great-grandchildren Zachary and Nicholas Hansen. She retired from St. Joseph's Hospital (Unit Secretary) in 1984. Celia lived with an enduring faith and, when she needed them most, was helped by angels that walk this earth. Those angels include her doctors Rosanne Larsen and Kristin Adams, the staffs at Laurel House, Peoples' Retirement Community, Cascade Park Gardens and Tacoma Lutheran Home. Other angels play banjos and sing. Still others serve the body and soul. We are grateful to all. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday November 7th at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be at Gaffney Funeral Home Thursday, November 6th from noon on, with Rosary following at 7 p.m. Celia supported overseas missions, in lieu of flowers, please consider the same.
