Catherine Evelyn Hunt

Obituary Catherine A. Hunt "Kay" Catherine was born in Puyallup June 9, 1923 to Ernest and Jennie Allison. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on March 10, 2007. She graduated from Stadium High in 1941 and graduated from WSU in 1945, where she was president of Kappa Delta Sorority and Spurs. After graduation, she taught Home Economics at Weatherwax High School (Aberdeen) and, in 1947, she married John Hunt. Catherine is survived by her husband John; together they raised 3 sons: Bob (Nancy), of Tacoma, twins Jim, who passed away in 1997, and his wife, Cheryl, of Spanaway, and Jerry (Michal) of Fishers, Indiana. Catherine is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and was predeceased by her grandson Robbie. She was a member of P.E.O. and Oakbrook Golf and Country Club; she enjoyed golf, traveling, playing bridge, dancing, and spending summers at the family beach home on Raft Island. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 16, 2007, 11:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
