Casper Scherr

Obituary Cap Scherr, 89, died December 12, 2006. He was born in Strasburg, ND and grew up on a farm. The oldest of nin chilrdren, he took the responsibility of being the oldest and his helping with the family to heart. Cap was a Navy veteran of WWII, he then went to work in civil service at Fort Lewis where he retired after more than 30 years. He was a longtime Tacoma resident, a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Cap was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in November of 2004, his parents, Clara and Magdalena and brothers Mathias and Joseph. He is survived by his sisters, Catherine, Mary and Dolores; a brother, James and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited prior to mass at 9:30 AM also at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
