Obituary Carl R. Grigsby Carl was born on March 21, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama and passed away on September 4, 2013 in Tacoma, Washington. He retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. He is survived by one son, one sister, one brother, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
