Obituary andace L. Floyd Candace L. Floyd, beloved wife and mother, passed away on August 17, 2007, after a long illness. She was born in Tacoma on October 21, 1959, to Elvin (Rusty) and Beverly Grout. After graduating from Wilson High School Candace pursued a career in cosmetology, and only recently retired due to declining health. Especially satisfying to her was the fact that many of her customers became life-long friends. Candace enjoyed volunteering at her children's P.T.A. and other school activities. She also took pleasure in the simple things in life, such as watching Mariners games on TV, decorating for holidays, sitting outside on a sunny day, holding babies, and looked forward every year to going to Lake Chelan for summer vacation. Candace is survived by her husband Chuck, son Colin, daughter Kyleigh, sister Jaynee Graves, and nephews Ian and Tyler. Candace had a huge heart, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered not only for her selflessness but also her extraordinary love for her family. She adored them, and they were the pride of her life. She will be immensely missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at Skyline Presbyterian Church, 6301 Westgate Blvd., Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Columbia Bank in Candace's name, or to Skyline Presbyterian Church.
