Billie Ann Kaperick

August 4, 1923 — May 2, 2009

Obituary Billie Ann Kaperick Devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on May 2, 2009. Born in Flint, Michigan in 1923, she spent her childhood between Michigan and Washington until finally settling in Rosedale. Billie was class valedictorian and went on to nurse's training. It was then that she met the dashing sailor who stole her heart. They shared the next 60 years raising 12 children, and mourning the loss of a 13th. Billie is survived by 11 of her children, their spouses, her sister, Beverly, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a sweet and modest woman who remained unflappable despite the antics of her "dirty dozen". Lost in romance novels, baking and knitting and annual trips to Hawaii with Vic, she serenely persevered. It is both with joy and sorrow we send her on to her long overdue re-union with her sweetie, Vic, and children Jimmy and Anne. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2009, 9:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Tacoma. Please leave online condolences at www.GaffneyCares.com. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003.
