Obituary Beverly Mae Koval Beverly passed into Our Lord & Savoriors arms after a long illness on January 25, 2010 at Alaska Gardens Health & Rehab in Tacoma, WA. Born February 28, 1927 to Lillian Larson and Howard Meharg in St. Paul, MN, Bev was adopted in 1930 at age 3 by Joseph & Helen Vachon of Fargo, ND. Growing up during the depression, the family moved around quite a bit before finally settling in Vancouver, WA in 1939. She was a graduate of Olympia High School in 1945 where she lettered in orchestra/violin. Bev went on to nursing school at Seattle University before deciding to change her career direction in order to become a dental nurse. She was working in the bookkeeping department of the Bank of California when she married the love of her life John Koval on August 10, 1963. The couple settled in Miles City, MT where John was a Lt. of Police for the Milwaukee Railroad and where their daughter was born. The family later moved to Othello, WA before Settling in Federal Way, WA in 1969. Beverly was a beloved wife and mother who loved music, reading and camping/fishing with her family. My mother was an exceptional woman with a warm & loving heart. She was always there for her family, friends and anyone who was in need. She was not only a wonderful mother, but my best friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Carla S. Koval and her brother-in-law Richard L. Koval, both of Tacoma, WA. Her husband John predeceased her in Oct. 2006. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Federal Way since 1969 and a long time member of the Miles City, MT Elks Lodge. Remembrances can be made to the American Diabetes Association & The Parkinson. Per her request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be in the cloisters at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma, WA.
