Obituary Beverly Christenson-Welch "Gigi" Â Beverly Christenson-Welch passed away on Friday April 8th. She was born on November 24, 1928 in Eatonville, Washington to Francis and Edward Sawyer, and was one of nine children. She was the mother of five children, grandmother to eleven, and great grandmother to seventeen. Beverly was married thirty-five years to Bob Christenson. They spent most of those married years enjoying family, friends, camping trips, Knights of Columbus events, and most importantly as active members of Holy Cross Church. She loved crafts and ceramics, was a consummate baker, and spent over 25 years volunteering for the "Giving Tree" at Holy Cross. Summers at Black Lake were especially memorable for her grandchildren, whom she adored and they lovingly called her "Gigi". She was preceded in death by husband Bob, daughters Lori and Cathy, her parents, son in law Craig, four brothers, two sisters, and second husband Tom. She leaves behind daughters Linda Kentfield, Dee Dee Maul, son Rob Christenson (Susie), and two sisters, Gen Wright and Donna Morgan. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Last but certainly not least, she leaves behind her lifelong girlfriends "Max, Kath, and Dort", commonly called the "golden girls". A celebration of her long and rewarding life will take place at Holy Cross Church on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in church hall. A Rosary will be recited at Gaffney Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Holy Cross Church.
