Obituary Bernard J. Waiss Bernard "Ben" J. Waiss was born in Loma, NE at his parent's farm house on Dec. 9, 1941 and passed away at his home in Edgewood, WA Sept. 10, 2014. Ben's family moved to Washington when he was 12 years old. He attended Riverside and Fife Elementary, Bellarmine Prep and Gonzaga. He retired from Silver Eagle Trucking. Ben is survived by his devoted wife, Marie-Jose'; daughters, Candace Ditter (Mike), and Melanie Knox (Chris); son, Chris (Mary); 5 step children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his four siblings. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, 11:00 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Fife, WA. The Rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 10:30am also at the Church.
