Audrey Johns

Obituary Audrey M. Johns 81 years old, born on April 20, 1926 in Winnipeg, Manitoba died peacefully at her home in Tacoma on Wednesday April 9, 2008. Audrey met her beloved husband Joey in Winnipeg. They were married for Fifty-Eight years until Joe's passing in 2003. Audrey was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest love was time spent with her family. Before Audrey met Joey she was an acrobatic performer, and played the accordion. As a teen Audrey performed with an accordion quartet called "The Accordion Maids" traveling across Canada. Audrey was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and was a member of the Altar Society. Audrey was an avid bridge player, supported the Seattle Mariners, enjoyed an occasional trip to Las Vegas and loved to play board games with her family. She will be deeply missed. Audrey is survived by her three children Terrence E. Johns of Tacoma, JoAnne (Gary) Bedlington of Everett and LoriAnne Johns (Rob). Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Other surviving relatives include George Scornaienchi and Dick Johns; Brothers-in-law. Pre-deceased by Joey, her husband and Joy Scornaienchi, her sister. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 14, 2008, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
