Obituary Sunday night dad fell peacefully asleep and woke up in Heaven with mom. Born Nov. 23, 1933 with his twin brother to Marie and Art Norlin, he grew up as part of Adam's Street kids. He attended Franklin, Jason Lee, and Stadium ('51). The twins played baseball and were Stadium's Yell Kings. In 1952 he married Darlene Blaszak, and went to work for the Wa. Natl. Guard. Retiring in 1980, after open heart surgery, he went to work for the YMCA until 1996. He continually opened his heart and wallet to those in need. Dad enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, sitting around a campfire, a good NY Yankee game, watching his kids and grandkids play sports, Reno, coaching baseball, and being around family and friends. Pa is survived by his sister, Beverly Norlin-Holmes, son-Steven & Vickie Norlin (Andrew and Kristina), son-Larry & Karen Norlin (Ryan and Melissa), daughter-Nanci Cornell (Jason and Aidan Cornell-great grandson's Tristan and Camdon, and Troy and Crystal Cornell). He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 52 years, Darlene, his twin brother, A. Richard (Dick) Norlin, and his parents, Marie and Art Norlin. Donations can be made in dad's name to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 No. 44th St., Tacoma, WA 98407 or The American Heart Association. Rosary will be recited Friday, 10/29, 7:00 pm at Gaffney's. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10/30, noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
