Anne J. Polich

Obituary Anne was born in Ruston, WA October 9, 1920. She died in Puyallup, December 30, 2010. She was the fifth child born to immigrant Slavonian parents Joseph and Josephine (Sankovich) Udovich. She followed in life and death her brothers Joseph, Mario, John, and her sister Mary Anderson Floberg. Anne attended Holy Cross School, Mason Jr. High, and graduated from Stadium HS in '38. After HS she attended Knapps Business College. She married Frank Polich in 1940. They were married for 42 years until his death in 1983. After Frank returned from war they purchased a house in the Proctor district and raised their children, Nancy and Frank Jr. When her kids were moving out she returned to work and eventually retired from the Clerks office for the City of Tacoma. She an her husband enjoyed many activities with their family and friends, bowling, golfing, boating, clam digging, and time spent on Maury Island. She is survived by children Nancy, Frank Jr., his wife Mary Ellen, and an extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, her sister-in-law Kay Bombardier, and many friends. The family wishes to thank everyone at Country Living Adult Family Home for their wonderful care of Anne for nearly 3 years. Donations in her memory could be made to Holy Cross Church in Tacoma or to St. Francis House in Puyallup. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on January 7th at 11:00 a.m. with internment at Calvary Cemetery.
