Obituary Anne E. Goslin Born in Columbus, Ohio January 11, 1955 Departed on October 25th, 2014, resided in Tacoma, WA Anne Goslin peacefully passed on October 25th, 2014 at University of Washington Medical Center after a long fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Lung Transplant surgery. Born in Ohio, to Bill and Elizabeth (Betty) Goslin, she was the second daughter, with one older sister (Jane) and twin younger brothers (Dan and Scott). She was always focused and determined toward her goals. She was a loving and giving person, with family and with friends. Nothing pleased her more than to be able to help another, or make someone smile. In her early years the family moved to Auburn, Alabama, where Dad taught at Auburn University. Anne attended Auburn Schools, graduating from Auburn High School in 1973. While in Auburn, Anne developed a passion for horses, and English riding, including hunter/jumper. This passion was to follow her for years, even as she moved to Colorado, where she won ribbons and trophies on her horse, Filly. In 1979, Anne followed her sister Jane to Denver, Colorado. Here she began her work in Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She worked as a tech for 9 years while returning to school to complete Pharmacy school. She ultimately had to sell her horse Filly to pay for her education. Finally, Anne graduated as a Pharmacist in June of 1992, which began her passion for this profession. Anne moved to Tacoma to complete her Pharmacy Residency program at St. Joe's Hospital. She stayed for the rest of her career in the Franciscan Hospital system, working at St. Clare and finally St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. She cherished her work friends. As Anne settled into her profession, she began looking for volunteer opportunities, and this led her to the Schooner Zodiac, and the Schooner Martha, where she volunteered for years. Here she met Fred Stark, who was to become a lifelong friend and companion. Fred and Anne enjoyed the outdoors, doing many hikes, and working with the Native Plant society to locate and preserve rare plants in the NW. As well as tending her awesome home garden. As Anne's health declined, and confined her activities, she turned to quilting, which became a life passion; both in making the quilts and giving them away to family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Anne loved every minute of quilting, and had many, many ideas ready to complete at the time of her death. Anne loved giving, and did so generously to numerous organizations and charities. She will be missed by all of us. She is survived by sister, Jane (Bruce) Burke of White Salmon, WA; brothers, Dan Goslin of Opelika, AL, and Scott (Linda) Goslin of Alexander City, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
