Ann Marie Tyler

Obituary Ann Tyler (Mom, Sis, Grandma, Auntie Ann) passed away on Jan. 8, 2007 surrounded by family. She had fought cancer courageously, holding tight to her sense of humor and unwavering faith. She was born Ann Marie Morse to George and Anna Morse on Jan.6, 1941 in Manchester, New Hampshire. She moved to Tacoma in 1954. Ann married her high school sweetheart, George Tyler in 1958. Together they raised four devoted, hard working children. Ann was the "brightest star in the family sky" with her contagious laugh, endless smile and enormous heart. She loved people and made friends wherever she went. Ann enjoyed children, gardening, traveling, visiting and dining with George and family. Surviving Ann are husband, George, daughter, Kim Tyler, Cheri (Keith) Finnegan, Shawn (John) Hoff, son, Chuck (Bobbie) Tyler, grandchildren, Tyler, Kiley, Kyle, Erica, Kendall, Brandon, Matthew, Aubrey, Katie, Johnny, and great-grandson little Tyler. She is also survived by sisters, Gayle (Cliff) Hyman, Helen Morgan, brother Frank (Vicki) Kuzmanich, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her beloved mother Anna, father George, stepfather Rod, and granddaughter Heidi. Family and friends will miss the way she could light up the room, could get any one to talk about anything, (even perfect strangers) and her ability to open her home and heart to anyone who needed them. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Wednesday January17, 2007 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance P.O. Box 19023 Seattle, WA 98109-1023.
