Obituary Ann Maruca Schmidt "Nana" May 1, 1914 - Nov. 7, 2005 Ann died of a stroke at the age of 91. She graduated from St. Leo's High School and worked in the Personnel Dept. at Puget Sound Nat'l bank in downtown Tacoma for 30 years. Ann is survived by her daughters: Judy (Bill) Cummings, Stephanie (Tom, deceased) Donaldson, Kathleen (Bill) Blankenship; special nieces and nephews: Natalie (Larry) Stockwell, Bob (Eileen) Garrison, Shirley Garrison, Laura Duvall, Alvin, Dion and Marilyn Maruca and their families, Laura, Cynthia and Kevin Newell and their families; and her sister Rita Newell. She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Tom, Steve (Charmaine) and Matt (Trish) Cummings, Mike and Jim Donaldson, Jennifer, Caroline, Amanda and David Blankenship, Jason (Sherrie), Kristi, Nick and Ann Stockwell, Jeff, Amy and Scott Garrison. She was predeceased by grandson Bill Donaldson, parents Sarah and Louis Maruca, son-in-law Tom Donaldson, nephew Bill Garrison, sister and brother in law Viola and Bill Garrison, brothers John (Alice) Maruca and Bob Gallucci. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 18, 2005 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7112 South 12th St. Tacoma. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oregon Jesuits, P.O. Box 86010, Portland, OR 97286-0010. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunshine's Haven Adult Family Home, the Tacoma Lutheran Home and Allenmore Hospital. Ann will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends.
