Ann Kormos passed on into her eternal home on April 25, 2024, at 11:00 pm leaving her long battle with stage four ovarian cancer behind her. She was born on August 7, 1975 to Margaret and John Johannessen in Tuscan, Arizona. She was the oldest sibling to her younger sister Ellen Brady. She is survived by Andrew Kormos, her husband, and her three children Paulina Kormos (19), Francis Kormos (17), and Silje Kormos (10). She was a high school teacher for 25 years at Decatur High School in Federal Way, WA. She was beloved by her students and staff in the strength, faith, and hope she exhibited daily in her fight with cancer. She was also an inspiration to everyone via social media using it as a platform to share her journey and her faith in God pulling her through a death-defying car accident in May 2023 and close calls with death in her cancer journey. She continued to spread the word of God’s hope in sharing her love for nature and faith in Him. She was a beloved aunt to her two nephews, Conor and Daniel Brady, and her niece Ann Mary Brady. She was dedicated in every part of her life as an aunt, sister, wife, teacher, and mother. Most of all she is remembered for her gentle love, humor, tenacity, and faith in Christ overcoming all circumstances. She will be missed, and her memory will live on in her inspiring ways in all the lives she touched.
