Allen worked for over 25 years as a Track Layer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He is survived by his children, Akema Smith, Allen Smith, III, Quenton Smith, Alane Smith and Parmer Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and acquaintances.
