Obituary Alfredo Alarcon Alfredo Alarcon was born in Durango, Mexico in 1936, and was a laborer and traveler for much of his life. Alfredo died peacefully in his home in on November 5th, 2013, surrounded by friends and family. For the past 20 years he has been the heart of the Tacoma Catholic Worker community, rising early to make Guadalupe House presentable, and to enjoy a mediocre cup of coffee with plenty of sugar. Alfredo loved movies, a good game of dominos, and made a mean posole. He taught us much about care and faithfulness to community; about loving others and being loved just as we are. The Guadalupe House community invites Alfredo's friends to join us for posole and storytelling on Monday, November 11th, at 5:30pm at 1417 South G Street, in Tacoma, and for Mass at St Leo Church on Tuesday the 12th at 6pm. We will gather at Guadalupe House after the service for a potluck.
