Obituary Alfred Arley "Fred" Parks Alfred Arley "Fred" Parks passed away on November 28, 2015 at the age of 64. Fred was born in Yakima, WA on August 12, 1951 and was the only child of Billie and Crystal Parks. Fred attended Gray Middle School in Tacoma, WA and Mt. Tahoma High school (1970). He later attended Central WA University where he earned his degree in Psychology, which allowed him to work as a counselor for many years. Fred was a very talented musician, music instructor and an influential member of the music community with encyclopedia knowledge of Rock N Roll. Fred was fun, silly, and full of life and he loved animals. Fred is preceded in death by his mother, Crystal. He is survived by his father, Billie Parks; his three children that he shared with Elizabeth Parks, Marquelle Parks Butler (PJ), Cara Parks and Jordan Parks; grand children, Mara Meisberger, Gracelyn Meisberger, Scarlett Frank, and Easton Butler; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, a ton of friends and his fur babies. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00am at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Fred will then be laid to rest at New Tacoma Cemetery near his mother. On Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 5:00pm there will be a Celebration of Life for Fred at Stonegate Hall to reminisce, jam and connect with all the musicians and friends that loved him so dearly.
