Albert Edward Fitzsimons

Obituary Albert passed away peacefully in his home at Village Green in Federal Way, WA, with his children nearby. He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY. Albert joined the Air Force in 1940 and was a crew chief on the B-17 Bombers. He served four years and returned to New York and met his soon to be wife, Margaret. Albert took a job with Boeing and moved his family to Des Moines, WA. They raised their 5 children in the Seattle-Tacoma area near Margaret's family. Albert retired from Boeing after 30 years. Albert enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, traveling and time spent with family. He was also known to have gone parasailing, sky diving and bungee jumping. He is survived by his children, Mary (Gary) Walters of Puyallup, WA, Janet (Robb) Foster of Middleton, ID, Alice (Tom) Owen of Tacoma, WA and Robert (Phyllis) Fitzsimons of Tacoma, WA; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 18, 2017, 11:00 am, St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 3939 SW 331st St., Federal Way, WA. Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Chapel, 1002 S Yakima Ave., Tacoma, WA. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
